Data Handling by Design
Continua supports two different ways of providing source files.
Temporary Task Attachments
Files attached directly to a normal investigation are temporary. They are used to perform the task you requested and are deleted after that task completes — Continua's Zero Document Retention workflow.
- Processed for the investigation you initiate
- Deleted after task completion
- Not retained as a document repository
- Never used to train AI models
- AI providers may not use them for training
- Never sold or used for advertising
Persistent Project Files
Files you intentionally add to a Project remain available across multiple investigations, so they do not use automatic post-task deletion.

- Persistence does not permit AI training
- Project files are never sold
What Zero Document Retention Means
We use Zero Document Retention specifically to describe files attached directly to temporary tasks. Continua may retain information necessary to operate the service, including:
No AI Training on Your Data
Continua does not use customer data to train AI models. This commitment applies to:
- Temporary task attachments
- Project files
- Prompts
- Task data
- Investigation settings
AI service providers processing Continua workloads are also not permitted to use customer data for model training.
HIPAA-Ready Workflows
Continua is designed to support HIPAA-compliant workflows for professional analysis of healthcare and medical records. For organizations that require one, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) are available.

Organizations subject to HIPAA should execute any required agreement before submitting protected health information.
Secure Payments with Stripe
Supported Continua web payments are processed through Stripe. Sensitive payment-card information is handled through Stripe's payment infrastructure rather than being stored directly by Continua.
Continua receives the billing and transaction information necessary to:
- Apply credits or top-ups
- Manage subscriptions
- Confirm payment status
- Maintain billing records
- Provide billing support

Your Data Remains Yours
You retain ownership of the documents, datasets, prompts, and other material you submit to Continua. You also retain your rights in the reports generated from your work.
Submitting information to Continua gives us only the limited permission necessary to:
- Perform the investigation you requested
- Generate your report
- Maintain and secure the service
- Store Project files when you explicitly choose persistent storage
- Provide support
- Meet applicable legal obligations
We do not sell your data.
Evidence-Backed AI
AI-generated conclusions can be incomplete or wrong. Continua is designed around evidence-backed investigation so important findings can be traced to supporting material.
Depending on the investigation, reports may include:
- Source-document citations
- Page-level references
- Cross-document evidence
- Conflicting statements
- Supporting records
- Evidence lineage
Important findings should be reviewed against their supporting evidence before they are relied upon.
Service Providers
Continua relies on specialized service providers for functions such as:
- Cloud infrastructure
- AI processing
- Authentication
- Payments
Providers receive information only as necessary to perform their role and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. AI processing providers are not permitted to use Continua customer data for model training.
Account & Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated task data. Certain information may need to be retained where required for:
- Legal obligations
- Accounting
- Security
- Fraud prevention
- Regulatory requirements

Are files attached to a normal task retained?
No. Files attached directly to a temporary task are deleted after the relevant task completes.
What about files stored in a Project?
Project files are intentionally persistent so they can be reused across multiple investigations.
Does Continua use my documents to train AI?
No. This applies to temporary attachments, Project files, prompts, task data, and investigation settings — and to our AI processing providers.
Is Continua HIPAA compliant?
